Dr. Kathy Wickens B.Sc.(Hon), D.C. Wellness Advisor

Dr. Kathy Wickens is a licensed Chiropractor who earned her Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ottawa, Certificate of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa and her Doctorate from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College of Canada which is one of the best academic chiropractic colleges in the world.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa, Dr. Wickens worked in the Federal Government for ten years. When she personally discovered the benefits of Chiropractic, she returned to school for an additional four years to get her Doctorate in Chiropractic.

She is the owner of the Chiropractic Care and Longevity Center located in Perth, Ontario.

Her background is extensive. She believes in a well-rounded common sense approach utilizing the latest scientific advancements in health care in order to achieve optimal health and to correct the underlying cause of any specific conditions. Dr. Wickens also believes patients must be informed and take an active role in their health. Over the past thirty years, Dr. Wickens has lectured to thousands to educate the public regarding chiropractic, nutrition, exercise, wellness, etc.

Dr. Wickens has taken thousands of hours of continuing education involving chiropractic, physical training, orthotics, gait analysis, compression stockings, addiction, supplements, homeopathy, radiology courses, lifestyle management, C.A.T.S. (Cranial Adjusting Turner Style), Cranial Release Technique (CRT), Postural Neurology and Cold Laser Therapy. She is constantly honing her skills to keep up with the latest technology and to keep abreast of the most up-to-date scientific research.

Dr. Wickens is actively involved in her community as a volunteer most currently sitting as the Chair of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation. When she is not involved with her two daughters and their families, and her extended family of her eleven brothers and sisters, she spends her time traveling, swimming, reading, cooking and playing board and card games.

Dr. Wickens firmly believes that we should all strive for quality of life. She enjoys assisting patients in making lifestyle changes towards this goal.

Matthew Johnson, RMT

Matthew has been a proud member of the Chiropractic Care & Longevity Center since July 2022. Matthew is originally from Perth and is excited to be back in his home town to continue serving the individuals of the community and surrounding areas. In his practice, he provides a wide range of techniques in order to best suit the individual needs of his clients.

In addition to his RMT training, he has completed a Kinesiology degree at Acadia University. He is the proud new dad of daughter Phoebe. In his spare time, he likes going for walks and taking camping trips with his family.


Certified Personal Trainer


Skylar Choffe, Certified Personal Trainer

Skylar is a Personal Trainer and a Rehab Instructor. Perth has been his home for his entire life, and he welcomes the opportunity to share his skill set and experience with the community.
Skylar studied at Algonquin College, where he attended the Fitness and Health Promotion Program. He chose to study under the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, who are, “the GOLD STANDARD” of health and fitness professionals dedicated to getting Canadians active safely by providing the highest quality customized programs, guidance and advice.” In 2017, Skylar graduated the program and received his diploma.

After graduation, Skylar successfully completed the Personal Training Specialist certification with CanFitPro, who are, “the largest provider of education in the Canadian fitness industry.”
Along the way, Skylar spent time in Ottawa at the Pro Sports Training facility, training elite level hockey players, such as: U18, Jr. A, OHL, and potential NHL draft picks.
Skylar has competed as an elite level hockey player for 15 years. He trained with personal trainers for 5 of those, having the privilege of being trained by a former CFL player and trainers with the Ottawa Senators of the NHL. This experience gives Skylar the unique ability of being able to look at training from both the trainer and the client’s point of view.

While Skylar’s commitment to his career and playing hockey keeps him very busy, he always makes time for his family and a physically active lifestyle playing sports he enjoys such as volleyball and golf.

Skylar looks forward to expanding his knowledge and education in the field to always offer his clients the highest standard and options available in the industry.
Skylar has also been awarded the Perth’s Reader’s Choice Award for top Fitness Instructor two years in a row!

Shelby Metz, Chiropractic Assistant

Shelby grew up in Perth, graduating from Perth and District Collegiate Institute in 2013. She went off to Algonquin College to study Early Childhood Education. Shelby works as an ECE for 6 years. During this time, she moved out west to Fernie, BC to live in an RV and teach in an infant/toddler program for a year!

Although loving the adventures of British Columbia, Shelby decided it was time to return to the place that grounds her, and rejoin the community that raised her.

Shelby enjoys anything to do with music, singing, playing the piano and Baritone ukulele, as well as enjoying the outdoors.

Along with handling the day to day of front desk duties, Shelby also produces the monthly newsletter. She is eager and happy to help you with any of your needs!


Bridget Manahan, Chiropractic Assistant

Bridget was born and raised in the Perth area and attended Perth & District Collegiate Institute. She then went off to Loyalist College and studied Community & Justice Service Worker. After college Bridget went on an adventure and moved to a rural community in Saskatchewan and worked as a legal assistant. Bridget evidently ended up missing her family and home area so much she moved home where she then worked as a Child and Youth Worker for numerous years in residential group homes and non-profit youth centers.

Bridget enjoys spending her off time with her family and her dog, Champ. She is a typical country girl, who enjoys spending hours outside, hiking, swimming, hunting, camp fires, ATVing, camping or simply relaxing in her hammock with a book.

In addition to her many front desk duties, Bridget is responsible for requesting imaging, preparing the monthly newsletter and decorating the office.
